I have long been entranced by fantasy and science fiction novels. Ever since I was in grade school, I devoured books voraciously - often several a day. Unfortunately, my parents did not understand how much more important it was to finish a great book than to get a full night's sleep, but I managed to survive the cliffhangers. As I grew older (and in control of my sleep patterns), I often found myself forgoing sleep to finish a wonderful story. I also found myself spending most of my income on books. Now I find myself with stacks of books all over the house. The good thing about this is that I am never far from a book so I rarely have to get up and walk into another room. The bad thing about this is I don't remember many of the wonderful stories I read. To my great regret, I never recorded or kept track of my favorites. However, in the last few years, I have started writing reviews of the books that I have read and posted them online on Amazon.com and other places. While there are many wonderful things about Amazon.com, it is a bookstore that has everything for everyone and does not specialize in science fiction and fantasy. It also does not carry many of the more obscure books and/or ebook editions of expensive trade paperback editions. I have long been looking for a site that would carry science fiction and fantasy books at a wonderful discount so I could afford my rather costly habit of buying any book that looked promising that crossed my path. I remember with great fondness the glory days of the Internet when Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com were duking it out for supremacy on the web. Every book was discounted - even mass market paperbacks! - so I now feel cheated when I have to pay full price online. I also noticed that, in order to find information about a specific author, you must search them out one by one. How wonderful would it be if the author's webpage would be linked right next to their books? This site is dedicated to helping science fiction and fantasy readers find the book they are looking for - at the best price - and with the best information available. You will find every book at a discounted price, but you will also find links to Amazon.com (a wonderful online bookstore), Barnes & Noble.com (the classic source), Fictionwise.com (my favorite ebook publisher/library) and publisher sites to present you with the cheapest purchase price possible.
